this election, progressives are teaming up to defeat Trump in the swing states AND protest Dems in the safe states — JOIN IN!

Reality check: 

We are voting in a broken two-party system in which corporations are people and a handful of states get to call the election due to an outdated electoral college.

…And we can’t let that stop us from winning.

So, we must outsmart the electoral college.

Luckily there’s a way to vote with your head and your heart…

How to Swap Your vote in

4 easy steps

If you’re a safe state voter:

  1. Find a friend in a swing state. (How? Contact your old school buddies on the coasts. Search your address book, your facebook, post on your social media.) See if they have a plan to vote (great opportunity to do voter outreach in general), and who they plan to vote for. *IF* they are unwilling to vote for Harris, propose the swap. “Hey, I’ll vote for your candidate of choice here in [CA] if you vote for me for Harris.”

  2. If they agree, make a plan to vote for each other (i.e. you agree to vote for their third party choice or to leave the top of the ticket blank; while they pledge to vote for Harris in their swing state.)

  3. On November 5 (or before, if voting early), vote for the candidate of your friend’s choice, while your swing state friend votes for the Harris/Walz ticket.

  4. In January 2025, unite to advance a non-fascist, as-progressive-as-we-can-make-it agenda.

IF YOU’RE A SWING state voter:

  1. Find a friend in a safe state who’d be willing to swap votes with you. (Contact your old school buddies on the coasts. Search your address book and your facebook, post on your social media.) First, ask them if they have a plan to vote then whether they’d be willing to swap votes with you so you can hold your nose and vote Harris.

  2. If yes, make a plan to vote for each other (i.e. have them agree to vote for your third party choice or to leave the top of the ticket blank; while you pledge to vote for Harris.)

  3. On November 5 (or before, if voting early), vote for the Harris/Walz ticket in your swing state, while your safe-state friend votes your preference. 

  4. In January 2025, unite to advance a non-fascist, as-progressive-as-we-can-make-it agenda.
