When you visit our website (the "Website"), use our voter β€œfind-a-friend” application, as the case may be (the "App") and more generally, use any of our services (the "Services", which include the Website and App), we appreciate that you are trusting us with your personal information. We take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, we seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal Information Provided by You. Personal information may include but is not limited to: Name, email address, mobile phone number, state in which voting, social media profile handle.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

By signing up, you consent to us processing your personal data including your location as expressed by the state you are voting in, and sharing this data with your proposed and confirmed swap partners by email. We will never share anything about your participation with anyone else or post to your social media feeds without your permission.

Within one day of the election, we will anonymize all personal data relating to that election (removing name, email, phone number, and social media information) from our databases and delete backups from our records. We will retain anonymized data in perpetuity to facilitate study and public discussion of the effects of vote swapping.

We will retain personal contact information (name and email address) where you have given permission for us to contact you with messages relating to democracy, electoral college reform, and continuing to build a social movement for progressive wins.

Information automatically collected

In Short: Some information β€” such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics β€” is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about who and when you use our Services and other technical information. Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our website or to assist us in analyzing how our website is used.

We use anonymised data in aggregate to monitor usage of the Application and to analyze political effects.

We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.

We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users' computers. The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information. We may use SignalWire, Airtable or Action Network for communicating outside the platform. By opting in to hear from us in this way, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to those services for processing.

We may also collect other personal information outside of these categories in instances where you interact with us in-person, online, or by phone or mail in the context of:

  • Receiving help through our customer support channels;

  • Facilitation in the delivery of our Services and to respond to your inquiries

Landslide has not disclosed or sold any personal information to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the preceding twelve (12) months. Landslide will not sell personal information in the future belonging to website visitors, users and other consumers. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Your rights with respect to your personal data

Right to request deletion of the data - Request to delete

You can ask for the deletion of your personal information. If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will respect your request and delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions provided by law, such as (but not limited to) the exercise by another consumer of his or her right to free speech, our compliance requirements resulting from a legal obligation or any processing that may be required to protect against illegal activities.

Verification process

Upon receiving your request, we will need to verify your identity to determine you are the same person about whom we have the information in our system. These verification efforts require us to ask you to provide information so that we can match it with the information you have previously provided us. For instance, depending on the type of request you submit, we may ask you to provide certain information so that we can match the information you provide with the information we already have on file, or we may contact you through a communication method (e.g. phone or email) that you have previously provided to us. We may also use other verification methods as the circumstances dictate.

We will only use personal information provided in your request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. To the extent possible, we will avoid requesting additional information from you for the purposes of verification. If, however, if we cannot verify your identity from the information already maintained by us, we may request that you provide additional information for the purposes of verifying your identity, and for security or fraud-prevention purposes. We will delete such additionally provided information as soon as we finish verifying you.

  • you may request correction of your personal data if it is incorrect or no longer relevant, or ask to restrict the processing of the data

  • you can designate an authorized agent to make a request under the CCPA on your behalf. We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been validly authorized to act on your behalf in accordance with the CCPA.

  • you may request to opt-out from future selling of your personal information to third parties. Upon receiving a request to opt-out, we will act upon the request as soon as feasibly possible, but no later than 15 days from the date of the request submission.
